Whistler
Golf Club
 |
The Whistler Golf Club is ideal for a day
or week-long escape. Spectacular snow-capped mountain ranges surround
the picturesque Whistler Valley, creating a dramatic setting for a
meticulously groomed, championship golf course, the Whistler Golf Club.
|
|
Designed by Arnold Palmer, the Whistler Golf Club
was chosen as the site for his first Canadian course.
Exceeding the expectations of the most
discriminating golfer, the 18-hole, par 72 6,400 yard course is
challenging, yet offers enjoyment to players of every level. Featuring
nine lakes, two winding creeks and rolling greens, the Whistler Golf
Club overlooks side-by-side Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. |

Chateau
Whistler Golf Club
|
With the opening of the Chateau Whistler
Golf Club in 1993, Whistler has become one of the premiere golf
destinations in Canada. The par 72, 18-hole, Robert Trent Jones Jr.
designed course offers a golf opportunity unmatched in the region. |
|
This Robert Trent Jones Jr. layout was achieved by
allowing nature to dictate the path without the constraints of
commercial influence. Creeks, ponds, stands of ancient Douglas firs and
granite rock faces are testimony to the fact that this magnificent
course follows closely the natural state of the terrain. Winding its way
through some of the most interesting terrain in Southwestern British
Columbia, the course challenges are endless. Carved out of the mountain
slopes, with elevation changes of more than 400 feet overall, the golf
holes traverse mountain ledges and cross rushing streams.

Nicklaus North Golf Course
|
Snowcapped peaks. A brilliant emerald-colored
lake. Majestic fir trees. Fresh, invigorating mountain air.
This is the setting that inspired the great Jack Nicklaus to create a
course as unique as himself.
|
|
This par 71, 18-hole course winds
along a gentle valley floor offering you a spectacular setting as your
golfing skills are tested to the fullest. Just minutes from cobblestone
walkways and street side cafes of the resort town of Whistler, Nicklaus
North stands out as one of the great courses in North America. It's no
wonder this is only one of a few rare golf courses in the world bearing
Jack Nicklaus' name.

Big Sky Golf and
Country Club
|
Opened in July 1994, Big Sky Golf and Country
Club offers a premier golf experience for all skill levels. The course
flows around seven lakes joined by a serpentine creek at 600 feet above
sea level, roughly 1,600 feet lower than the nearby ski village of
Whistler. |
|
The golf season in
this mini-banana belt runs from mid-April through mid October, downright
lengthy by British Columbia interior standards. Laid out in a broad
meadow free of development, Big Sky is a flatland course set amongst the
mountains, not on their slopes. As such, it's easy walking. Course
conditions are excellent: The bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways are
beautifully manicured.
With four sets of tees ranging from
7,001 to 5,208 yards, Big Sky presents a risk-reward challenge at every
hole and successfully grafts old and new schools of design.

Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club
|
Squamish
Valley Golf and Country Club is located half way between
Vancouver and Whistler B.C. on Highway 99 in the sea to sky corridor |
|
The course has recently been
redesigned and is open year round. It has 18 holes, par 72, and 4 sets
of tees, all at affordable prices. Featured in the front 9 are two new
lakes, a double green, a wonderful 308-yard par 4, more yardage, and a
full sized practice facility. In keeping with the heritage of the
original landscape, we have incorporated the massive stumps from the
first growth timber into the design. The golf course is an easy walk,
and you can enjoy a snack and beverage at the 10th tee turn, or hold
your appetite and enjoy something more substantial in our fully licensed
clubhouse.
There are not too many places in the
world where in one day you can enjoy a game of golf surrounded by
majestic mountains, watch soaring eagles, observe spawning salmon, and
in the spring or fall, get a few runs in at North America's #1 ski
resort, "Whistler".

Furry Creek Golf and
Country Club
 |
Furry
Creek has been described as "The single most scenic golf setting in
BC" and the views from virtually every hole are a testament to that
description. |
|
A
6,001 yard, 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves, is the
jewel in a 1,036-acre community development.
Opened as a private course in the summer of 1993, it was converted to a
public facility in April of 1994, and has been garnering rave reviews
ever since.
The surroundings at Furry Creek perfectly capture the most spectacular
aspects of "Super Natural British Columbia." Panoramic ocean
views and abundant wildlife define the environment here. Eagles, black
bears and white-tailed deer are frequent visitors to this awe-inspiring
setting.
The golf course itself provides an ever-changing landscape. The front
nine reflect a true mountain layout, demanding careful course
management, and featuring several ravine-spanning shots. |
